SearchBlox Simplifies Search Results Customization
SearchBlox Version 3.2 adds CSS support for customizing the
look-and-feel of search results
RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 27 -- SearchBlox Software, Inc. has released Version 3.2 of its platform-independent J2EE-based Content Search Software with support for search results customization using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Other new features in this release include improved and faster HTTP and Feed Crawlers and support for detecting duplicate documents during indexing.
The CSS support for customizing search results adds to the existing cutomization support using XSLT stylesheets. As CSS has widespread adoption, customers can now customize the look and feel of the search results in SearchBlox more easily and much faster than before. With CSS support, web designers can customize the search results in SearchBlox with little or no technical help.
Other major features in SearchBlox V3.2 are:
- Detection of duplicate documents during indexing
- Redesigned HTTP and Feed Crawlers that greatly improve indexing performance
- SearchBlox Server for Linux/ Unix
- Support to run SearchBlox Server for Windows as Windows Service
SearchBlox is available as a Web Component for all major J2EE Application Servers and as a standalone application for Windows, Linux/Unix and Mac OS X platforms. For high scalability search, the SearchBlox Distributed Edition for Akamai EdgeComputing Platform is available.
