SearchBlox Delivers Content Search on Amazon EC2
Product pricing starts at $1 per CPU hour for searching 1 million documents
Richmond, Virginia, May 29, 2008 - SearchBlox Software, Inc. today announced that its SearchBlox Content Search Software is available on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) - a pay-per-use platform where customers pay only for the infrastructure software services and capacity that they actually use. Searchblox pricing starts at $1 per CPU hour for indexing and searching 1 million documents and is available in other document capacities to suit individual user requirements.
SearchBlox uses Apache Lucene as its core search technology and supports indexing and searching of content including PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents in 37 languages. With its AJAX-based Admin Console, SearchBlox simplifies the administration of spiders to index websites, feeds and documents and makes the software manageable even to business users.
SearchBlox provides advanced search features such as search results clustering, spelling suggestions, date range search and hit highlighting. In addition, SearchBlox offers a REST API for developers to create custom applications and for integration with other applications.
