Security is an important aspect of organizations today. With the growing volume of content, knowing how to limit the content access is a key challenge with system administrators. While there are numerous ways to provide security with search results, there is still a lot of confusion in secure search implementations on how exactly it can be implemented.
SearchBlox provides the required security connectors with Apache Shiro to talk to a security provider like Active Directory. SearchBlox provides a step by step walkthrough on implementing secure search results based on Active Directory user groups. Once implemented, each user is required to login and authenticate before conducting any searches on the SearchBlox search form. Documents have to be assigned to the required user groups before the authenticated user can view the search results that are available.
Please download the required code files and follow the step-by-step guide to implement secure search results on your local files.
