With the introduction of version 8.2 SearchBlox is now able to search CMIS compatible repositories like Content and Document Management systems out of the box. Combining different content sources from systems like Ektron, Drupal, Sharepoint, Alfresco, Liferay, OpenCMS, OpenText, Documentum and FileNet is now simple with a single search. SearchBlox can process and search 25+ different formats from these systems for search. SearchBlox provides the simplest integration through the JSON and XML API for displaying the faceted search results. Our out of the box AngularJS and jQuery plugins provide the ability to embed the search forms right within any of these external content systems to allow for a unique search experience.
#1 Setup the Advanced Integration module for connecting to the CMIS Servers
The Advanced Integration module allows you to specify the CMIS query to index the required documents from the CMIS server. The documents can be crawled and transformed into the required indexing format by SearchBlox.
#2 Setup the indexing job for continuous indexing
SearchBlox allows you to setup a continuous job so your search index is also fresh for your end users to find the documents immediately. Multiple indexing jobs can be setup so files can be indexed from different repositories in parallel for search.
#3 Integrated Faceted Search for all your content
Once your documents are indexed from the CMIS servers, a single faceted search can be used to search across all of your different repositories including crawled websites, network file systems and data within database tables. SearchBlox truly provides a single search interface for all your content.
