With the release of the Advanced Integration module in SearchBlox 8.2 version, indexing content with Sharepoint is now easier and allows for federated search of Sharepoint and other websites, easy to implement. Sharepoint documents can now be searched along with your documents from network folders, cloud drives like Dropbox, Google Drive or Amazon S3 storage. SearchBlox provides a single search box that will bring back your search results in a faceted search view.
#1 Setup your Advanced Integration module for Sharepoint
The SearchBlox Advanced Integration module now allows indexing of content from Alfresco, CMIS Servers, Documentum, Dropbox, Email, FileNet, GridFS, Hadoop File System, Jira, Meridio, Sharepoint and Wiki. Once the Sharepoint server location and security credentials are provided in the Advanced Integration module, SearchBlox will confirm the connection enabling the direct connection to Sharepoint.
#2 Setup the indexing job for indexing of Sharepoint
Once the connection is established, the indexing job can be setup to index the content for search. The faceted search page can be used immediately once the indexing starts. 25+ file formats can be indexed and searched through the Advanced Integration module.
#3 Continuous indexing of Sharepoint and other data sources
SearchBlox can continuously crawl your Sharepoint site for documents for immediate inclusion in search. Your search results can be incorporated into Sharepoint or any other web based application or through our html results pages.
SearchBlox has now made integration with Sharepoint, simple, and easy to implement.
